Sadly but necessarily, logging will soon begin and we will be without our beloved Oropi for the first time in 25 years. The prospect of logging means no park for 12 months or more and this will be quite stressful to regular park users out there (myself included). But we can and will turn turmoil into triumph. There are good plans in place and seed funding secured to make the rebuild happen.
Of course we will be looking for my volunteers to work on the tools when the time comes, but until then we are raising money for professional track builders and park upgrades. Our fundraising team has already negotiated a large commitment from T.C.C. that will get us halfway. In addition to their financial contribution, we need to show our commitment as a club and are aiming to raise an additional $25,000 towards the project.
